From Rebekah’s Facebook Page:
Thank you everyone for your prayers and love! We are so grateful and have truly felt them.
Today, 12/10/2020 at 9:00am Dad, Papa, Grandpa, my mom’s Darlin’, passed peacefully from the this world into the arms of his Heavenly Father.
In his last hours, the nurses allowed us to FaceTime him and we were able to sing hymns to him and read the Bible, tell him we loved him. All his kids, son-in-laws, and grandkids got to see him and say that we loved him.
He was so at peace and coherent until the end and refused any meds because he wanted to be all “there” mentally for us.
He heard the song “It is well with my Soul” and went to forever rest with his Savior Jesus.
I know my dad would want everyone to know 2 things:
- Jesus is the only way, truth, and life. All who knew my dad were touched by his life and testimony and that was because of his Faith and love in God.
- He did not let Covid cripple him or keep him from living his life to the fullest nor was he afraid of it. He also did not die of Covid. Before he passed he was tested and per the doctors he didn’t have COVID nor did they see pneumonia anymore. He lived with ALS for 16 years and because of that his lungs were weak.
Dad was our hero and so many other’s hero’s. May we all have a legacy as my daddy did!
At this time we ask for prayers for my mom and for the family. We also ask for prayers for the doctors and nurses who came in contact and cared for my dad. They were touched by our love and his love to us and were heart broken when they lost him.
“Therefore, being always of good courage, and knowing that while we are at home in the body we are absent from the Lord— for we walk by faith, not by sight— we are of good courage, I say, and prefer rather to be absent from the body and to be at home with the Lord.”
2 Corinthians 5:6-8

Thank you, Rebekah, for the updates. Yes, brother Art is truly alive now with Christ. We all will miss him.
I thanked God for your mom and dad. They opened their home and hearts toward me. They took time to disciple me when I first came to CCNLB church and taught me how to read the bible, and how to pray, and what it means to love one another; not just in words only, but in deeds as well. They were there when I lost my mom, my brother and my best friend, one after another.
I’m truly grateful and privileged to have known them. Through them, I got to know the rest of you. Thank you for letting me share life with you all.
With much love and sadness,
Mali
